The Republican Lyceum for Gifted Children in Mordovia

The Republican Lyceum for Gifted Children holds leading positions according to nationwide rankings of general education institutions in Russia.

The Lyceum is the first link in the chain of training highly sought-after professionals for Russia’s modern economy. Its main goal is to make quality education accessible to deserving students and to provide talented children with equal starting opportunities, regardless of their place of residence or their parents’ financial means.

Education at the Lyceum begins in the 7th grade and follows three specialized tracks:

  • Physical Sciences (focus areas: physics and astronomy)
  • Mathematics (focus areas: mathematics and computer science)
  • Chemical and Biological Sciences (focus areas: chemistry, biology, and ecology)

The Republican Lyceum educates 350 students from all municipal districts of the Republic of Mordovia. Additionally, students from other regions across Russia – from Crimea to Sakhalin – choose to study here, representing over 40 regions of the country.
